Nutanix joins the club

Nutanix, the leader in HCI for SMB, wishes its part of the data protection cake. Nutanix doesn't want to let Cohesity and Rubrik drive and lead this segment. It's also a new illustration of the rivalry between Dheeraj Pandey, CEO of Nutanix, and Mohit Aron, CEO of Cohesity and co-Founder and past CTO of Nutanix.

At its annual US user conference this week, Nutanix just introduced Mine being a converged secondary storage platform coupled to the primary entity aka Enterprise Cloud Platform and managed via the same console.

Unveiling a backup device is useless without any backup software validated at the same time. This is why Nutanix picks established leaders and innovator like Arcserve, Commvault, HYCU, Unitrends - a Kaseya company -, Veeam and Veritas.

This development consolidates the platform and avoid any exotic addition thus strenghtened the trust in Nutanix.
