Fujifilm Recording Media, the leading worldwide tape vendor and manufacturer and a business unit from Fujifilm, came back to the data archiving landscape with Kangaroo.
The organization has participated to this domain a few years ago with their Object Archive solution based on external object storage software. It was a point product that needed to be connected to other tape libraries. They also distributed StrongBox Data Solutions StrongLink product that is now stopped and removed from the market.
So now Fujifilm is back with a comprehensive solution for the European market with a hardware and software bundle well packaged as the image above shows. The turn-key product exists in different size with S, M and L, like t-shirts. It groups the previous Object Archive software, servers, disks, tape library, tapes and drives and exposes S3 but also NFS and SMB.
