Imanis Data recruits its VP Marketing

Imanis Data, formerly Talena, data management vendor, just recruited Peter Smails as VP Marketing. Peter came from Datos IO, acquired earlier this year by Rubrik, where he drove Marketing as well.

Peter's arrival confirms the new round of VC money injected last March under the new leadership of John Mracek.

As a direct competitor of Datos IO for data protection for Hadoop and NoSQL environments, we anticipate some discussions soon by data management giants who need such solutions. We'll see...
